You have received your Welcome Email from IDX Broker with login credentials for your new account. Now what? After logging in to your IDX control panel for the first time and seeing all of the features available, you may not know where to start. Below is a short checklist of our most popular features and important items to get you started.
Basic Features:
- The first think you will want to do is add your IDX pages to your website. Login to IDX Broker and go to Account Management -> Page Links. Here you will find all of the IDX pages available to add to your website. Pick out the search pages, listing pages, and contact forms you would like to use, and copy and paste the URL's for those Page Links into your website. You can find more information on how to use Page Links here.
- Look at the items available under the Widgets tab in your control panel and pick out any Showcases, Slideshows, or Quick Search forms you would like to add to your website. Configure each widget as you see fit with the options available. Copy and paste the code for each widget you would like to use into the HTML on your website.
- Build custom search results pages under Customize -> Custom Links and add each Custom Link to your website. Build custom search results based on city, price range, or individual neighborhoods. You can find step-by-step instructions for building Custom Links here.
- Update your Global Wrapper, so your IDX pages match the changes you just made to your website. You can update your wrapper under Customize -> Global Wrapper in your IDX control panel. Instructions on how to update your wrapper can be found here, or you can contact support.
SEO Features:
- Set up Sub Headers for each of your IDX pages under Customize -> Sub Headers. This is a great and easy way to quickly add unique content to every one of your IDX pages. Instructions on how to use Sub Headers can be found here.
- Customize Dynamic Title and Meta Tags for your property details pages under My Preferences -> Global Preferences -> SEO Options.
- Set up custom titles, sub headers, and meta tags for your saved custom links under Customize -> Saved Links. You can find an overview of the options available for Saved Links here.
Extras:
- Customize your Lead Registration Preferences under Lead Management -> Lead Registration Preferences to determine when you would like your site visitors to be prompted to submit their personal information to your account.
- Create Custom Search Lists under My Preferences -> Custom Search Lists. Determine which cities, counties and zip codes you want to display on your search pages.
- Check your Sold & Pending Listings under Listings -> Sold & Pending. Update the status of any listings recently added to this list.
