Walk Score is a popular mapping service used to show amenities like restaurants, stores, grocery stores, parks, and more around a given location. IDX Broker gives you the option of displaying a Walk Score map on your Property Detail pages. In your IDX control panel under My Preferences -> Global Preferences -> Detail Page Options, there is an option labeled Details Page Map. Here, you can choose between several different maps to display on your Property Details page, including Walk Score. To activate Walk Score on your IDX account, click this option to Walk Score and specify a height and width.



IDX Broker uses the Free version of Walk Score's API. This supports advertisements, so you may see some ads included on your Walk Score maps similar to the one below. Please note that you are responsible for MLS compliance regarding Walk Score functionality. For this reason, we suggest that you review your MLS IDX terms and conditions, or check with your local MLS before enabling the Walk Score feature.



If you do not want to see ads displayed on your Walk Score maps, you have the option of upgrading to Walk Score's Premium Service. This service will allow you to display Walk Score Maps without ads. When signing up for this service, please be sure to enter in your IDX Subdomain - either your standard idxco.com subdomain or your custom subdomain - into the Domain where Walk Score will be used field.



After signing up, you will receive a Walk Score ID (WSID). You will need to enter this key into IDX Broker. Login to go to Account Management -> Domain Control. Enter your Walk Score ID into the Custom Walk Score Key field provided. Save your changes, and IDX Broker will start using your Walk Score Premium account on your Property Details pages.
