IDX Broker will automatically "301 redirect" any URLs established prior to choosing a custom subdomain.

A "301 redirect" is a technical term for "pointing" one url to another. If you had a basic search URL that contained hotproperties.idxco.com in the domain, and your new domain is idx.hotproperties.com, IDX Broker will automatically point any search engines that index the old URL to the new URL. This assumes that you have tested your new subdomain and verified this subdomain via the Domain Control screen, and take the steps necessary to add a custom subdomain.

301 redirects are important because without them your old URLs may point to "Page Not Found" or a blank page. If you direct visitors and search engines to the new domain pages, search engines will index these pages more quickly and visitors will land on pages that contain the expected content.
