You can enter in a conversion tracking code under My Preferences -> Global Preferences -> Conversion Tracking Code. This text area allows you to track conversions through both your advertising campaigns and your analytics provider. Note that this is NOT the same as tracking individual page views and other non-conversion metrics across your IDX pages. This field is designed specifically for tracking conversions only.

Track Advertising Campaign Conversions

Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and others online marketing platforms provide a simple conversion code. Placing this conversion code in the conversion text box will force IDX pages to trigger a conversion when a user signs up or submits a contact form on your IDX pages.

Track Conversions Using Analytics

Google Analytics and other analytics providers often allow you to track conversions by URL. We recommend that you use the url method to track conversions through Google Analytics. The reason for this is because it allows you to identify unique conversion response pages, and track and marketing and SEO efforts to individual conversion actions such as "New sign up", "Property request", or "Sign In".

To do this you simply need to submit a form yourself and review the name of the url you receive as a response. In Google Analytics, you simply add that url as a "Goal" and give the goal a name in order to begin tracking conversions to that goal. If you also have a Google Adwords account, you can link your Adwords account to your Google Analytics account directly.

What About Tracking Code (Not Conversion Code)?

For Google Analytics and other analytics providers that supply javascript tracking code for all pages on your site, we recommend placing this code into your Global Wrapper > Page Footer. Place the code just above the </body> tag in the footer.
